Recipe: Kailan (Chinese Broccoli) with Oyster Sauce

Leafy veg. Falling down easy. 

Kailan with Oyster Sauce

1 bunch kailan, rinsed and trimmed

3 tbsp oil

3 tbsp oyster sauce

Fried shallots (optional)


Bring spot of water to boil. Add 1 tsp salt and 1 tbsp oil. Add in the kailan and parboil for 2-3 minutes. Remove and arrange on serving plate. 

Heat the oil and oyster sauce until hot but not bubbling. Pour over the cooked kailan.  Garnish with fried shallots. 

Served here wit Coca Cola Spare Ribs and steamed white rice.
