Recipe: Grilled Baby Bok Choy


Dear Offspring,

What would I do without my grocery delivery service? Even though sometimes I get bok choy instead of baby bok choy. 😔

Grilled Baby Bok Choy

A. 

1/4 cup sweet chilli sauce

1 tbsp rice wine vinegar

1 tsp sugar 

1 tsp light soy sauce

1 tsp sesame oil

B. 

6 heads of baby bok choy, washed and dried (a salad spinner helps)

A. Mix the dressing ingredients thoroughly. 

B. To trim the baby bok choy, slice off a thin portion of the bottom nub, leaving the whole head intact. Cut each head into half, lengthwise. 

In a large bowl, toss the baby bok choy halves in the dressing until thoroughly coated. Make sure to drizzle the dressing between the leaves too. 

Place on a hot grill (I use a stovetop grill) until slightly charred, approximately 1 minute each side.
